We Move

It’s time to claim your joy

It’s time to claim your joy. As the iconic Audre Lorde reminds us, caring for ourselves is an act of political warfare and a preservation of our power. At You Make It, we don’t just talk about wellness—we celebrate it, live it, and build it together. We carve out safe, unapologetically joyous, and deeply supportive spaces designed specifically for Black and brown women to move, breathe, and thrive.

We have always woven dynamic fitness and movement right into the heart of our career-boosting empowerment programmes. Whether you want to find your flow in yoga, crush your personal best in running, unleash your power in boxing, or catch the vibe in dance, we’ve been making that happen for years. There is no judgment and no pressure here—just pure exploration, healing, and the unmatched energy of sisterhood.

Supported by our beloved partners at Jordan Brand, we celebrated our community even further in 2026 by hosting our inaugural community sports day for programme alumni and partners alike. Now, We Move is officially stepping into team sports, and we want to bring our incredible alumni network with us. We want you to continue to elevate your confidence, nurture your mental well-being, and build on your community of sisterhood where you truly belong, exactly as you are.

But this is bigger than just playing a game; team sports are a powerful catalyst for the professional world. By getting involved, you will naturally sharpen the exact skills that allow Black and brown women to excel on their own terms—like visionary leadership, impactful communication, deep resilience, and focus. In fact, research proves that young women who play team sports are far more likely to level up into management and boss-level executive roles.

We’re calling out to our alumni networks to let us know what you feel more like moving for - basketball or football?
